Thought for Thursday November 12

Your word is for ever, O Lord.
The revelation of your words sheds light,
giving understanding to the simple.
Your word is for ever, O Lord.

Luke 17: 20 – 25 “The coming of the Kingdom of God cannot be observed, and no one will announce, ‘Look, here it is,’ or, ‘There it is.’ For behold, the Kingdom of God is among you.”

If I can’t observe the kingdom of God, how am I supposed to know it is really here? What difference does it make?

Action: Think for yourself and don’t get wrapped up in mob mentality.

Today is the feast of St. Josaphat. Here is a little bit of his story from http://saints.sqpn.com/saintj61.htm

Mob mentality took over, and they invaded the residence. Josaphat tried to insure the safety of his servants before fleeing himself, but did not get out in time, and was martyred by the mob. His death was a shock to both sides of the dispute, brought some sanity and a cooling off period to both sides of the conflict.
