If your hand
causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed than with two hands to go into Gehenna, into
the unquenchable fire.
What am I willing
to do to avoid sin? Have I ever given up
a hobby, an acquaintance, a job, (or a limb) because it caused me to sin?
Action: Use your hands today to do some good in the
world – dial the phone to talk to someone who is lonely, write a letter, bake
some cookies, repair something, pet a dog …
