Blessed is
he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in princes.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good,
for his mercy endures forever.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in man.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in princes.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
Matthew
7: 21, 24 – 27 Everyone who listens to these
words of mine and acts on them will be like a wise man who built his house on
rock.
How
often do I act on a new idea or opportunity? How much of my time and
energy is exhausted in just keeping up with the status quo?
Action:
Use Advent to examine how you use your time and find a way to reduce the load
of incessant tasks so you have time and energy to take on new opportunities.
[Unless you are like me and need to find a way to be less lazy and actually
take on more.]
